They are each committed to one vision – to nurture Australian design talent and equip them with all they need to know to develop and sustain a successful fashion business not only in Australia, but internationally.

In the spellbinding world of fashion, everything begins with a vision – a vision for something beautiful, creative and original. All fashion designers aspire to create a pretty picture and inspire others to do the same, and for hairdressers it’s no different. With so many talented artists emerging on the Australian landscape, the time could not be better for the arrival of an industry body, the sole purpose of which is to develop, strengthen and promote Australian fashion on an international stage. Introducing: The Australian Fashion Chamber.

Spearheaded by Chairperson and Vogue Australia’s Editor in Chief Edwina McCaan, and with a Board of Directors that includes Glen Schlenhuber – Managing Director at Tiffany & Co, Leanne Whitehouse of the Whitehouse Institute of Design and Alicia Kemp of AMP Capital Shopping Centres, the fashion industry could not be in better hands. Completely not-for-profit, each member of the board volunteers their time to this muchneeded cause because they all share the same belief: that there has never been more design talent in Australia.
